The Ministry of Education has taken several steps to enhance and raise the quality of the education system, which is part of Egypt 2030 vision to cultivate economic and social justice and revive the role of Egypt in regional leadership. One of those steps is finalising a protocol of co-operation between the Ministry of Education and the Foundation of International Schools in Egypt (F.I.S.E) to establish The International Public Schools (IPS) in 2018. The protocol falls within the framework of the education initiative whereby the Foundation of International Schools in Egypt will provide educational content and technical/academic support to a number of the governmental schools. The International Public Schools are following the British curricula of the private international schools in addition to the school subjects that are related to the national identity
